To provide a connection device constituted so as to select the optimum receiver from a plurality of receivers.
A controller 10 extracts a receiver having the nearest function to the image function and audio function of a transmitter 2 as the optimum receiver from an instrument information table 16A (S8). The receiver 3 supports three functions of the image function and the audio function of a transmitter 2. The receiver 4 supports all of five functions of the image function and audio function of the transmitter 2. The receiver 5 supports four functions of the image function and the audio function of the transmitter 2. Accordingly, the optimum receiver becomes the receiver 4 whereby the controller 10 connects the receiver 4 and the transmitter 2 to a switching circuit 17 (S10). According to this connection, the connecting device 1 relays the data communication of the receiver 4 and the transmitter 2 (S12).
