Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric furnace graphite electrode connection structure for preventing cracks in the core of a socket so as to simplify core machining by forming the core of the thread part of the socket engaged with the screw thread of the thread part of a nipple tip to be curved.
SOLUTION: While a nipple is engaged with a socket, at least a screw thread 5ab (a screw thread between a core 5a and a core 5b before it) immediately before the core 5a of the thread part of the socket engaged with the screw thread 6a of the thread part of a nipple tip is eliminated, and the eliminated part is formed to be a core 7 having a larger curvature. Further, a screw thread 5ab immediately before the core 5a of the thread part of the socket engaged with the screw thread 6a of the screw part of the nipple tip and a screw thread before it (a screw thread between the core 5b and a core before it) are eliminated to form a larger core 7. Thus, an electric furnace graphite electrode connection structure is provided, wherein stress caused by thermal stress or the like is dispersed and the occurrence of cracks in the tip part of the core 5a is prevented.
