Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connectively braid a selvage texture having a braided stitch finer than that of the edge of a braided texture having a coarse braided stitch at the edge of the braided texture by using a torchon lace machine.
SOLUTION: A process for braiding a braid texture F and a process for braiding a selvage texture E are carried out in parallel by using a torchon lace machine. When all oblique warps 1F forming the braid texture E are slantingly inverted to successively form engaging parts (a), (b) and (c), fixed oblique warps 1E, 3E and 5E at the side of the selvage texture side E side are slantingly inverted and engaged with the formed engaged parts (a), (b) and (c).
