Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for FPC(flexible printed circuit) capable of maintaining a closed condition for a housing stably by an actuator and preventing opening of the actuator even if an FPC is pulled by a slight force in the direction in which the actuator is opened erroneously.
SOLUTION: This connector for FPC consists of a housing 1, a plurality of first contacts 3, a plurality of second contacts 4, an actuator 2 attached to the housing so as to rotate, open, and close freely, and an FPC 5 having a plurality of pads which are nipped and held by the housing and the actuator and come into contact with each contact, respectively. A distance between a lock part 2a of the actuator engaged with a lock receiving part 2a of the housing and the center 2c of rotation of the actuator is longer than a distance between a point 2d where the actuator receives a load from the FPC and the center of rotation when the FPC is pulled in the arrow mark direction in which the actuator is opened.
