To provide a connector having electric resistance hardly increasing even if the number of insertions and extractions is increased, reducing a material cost, and having reception-side contacts easy to mount to a case, and also to provide a manufacturing method of the connector.
This connector 1 is provided with: a case 2; through-holes 3 penetrating from the front surface to the rear surface thereof in the axial direction; and the reception-side contacts 4 mounted in the through-holes 3. Each reception-side contact 4 has rising parts 7 rising from side edges at the front position of a base part 6 extended in the axial direction. The rising parts 7 are tilted toward the front side and the upper side along with a slanting part 9. A space 13 is formed between edges in the rising direction of the rising parts 7 and one surface 3a of the through-hole 3. When an insertion-side contact 5 is inserted, the rising parts 7 slide on the insertion-side contact 5 while moving upward, whereby sliding parts of both of them are dispersed and friction is hardly generated. Since the reception-side contacts 4 are narrowed in the width direction in a flat form, they are stamped from a flat plate material at intervals equal to those of the through-holes 3.
