Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve productivity by preventing the electrostatic destruction of a memory card itself or an equipment connected with it due to the electrostatic short-circuit with the surface of the memory card, in a connector for the memory card which connects the memory card of which both the faces are covered with a metallic plate for shield with a print circuit board.
CONSTITUTION: A connector 5 for a memory card for mounting a memory card 1 of which both the faces are shielded with a mutually inducted metallic plate 14 on the print circuit board so as to be freely attached and detached, is equipped with a shield plate 22 which is provided at the memory card mounting face side, and which can be brought in contact with the metallic plate 14 of the memory card 1 on being mounted or after being mounted. And also, the connector for a memory card is equipped with at least a ground terminal 52 whose one edge is formed as a connector 52b which is always brought in contact with the back face of the shield plate 22, and whose other edge is formed as a ground electrode 52a which can be connected with the ground potential area of the print circuit board.
