Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the insertion of a terminal into a connector housing in the reverse posture, and to hold them in the double-lock condition by providing a pair of primary regulating units in a connector housing, and providing two secondary lock units in the terminal, and providing a secondary regulating unit in a retainer.
SOLUTION: At the time of assembling a connector, a retainer 30 is previously and temporarily locked with a connector housing 10, and a terminal 20 is inserted into a cavity 11. In a process of insertion, after a lance 25 passes through a primary regulating unit 12, the lance 25 is elastically reset and engaged with the primary regulating unit 12. Continuously, the retainer 30 is pushed up to a main locking device for the secondary lock condition. The terminal 20 is thereby double-locked. At the time of drawing the terminal 20, the secondary lock of the secondary regulating units 32L, 32U and a locking stage unit 27 and a stabilizer 26 is released. Then, a jig is used so as to release the engagement of the lance 25 with the primary regulating unit 12.
