Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a console box for an automobile displaying excellent design effect and improving convenience.
SOLUTION: A console box for an automobile is provided with a box body 10 and a closable arm rest 20 pivotally supported to the box body 10. An opening part is opened at a part of the arm rest 20, and a slidable opening/closing door 30 is additionally provided along the opening part. It is so constituted that the opening/closing door 30 can be opened/closed independently of the arm rest 20. The opening/closing door 30 is so constituted as to be curved in its sliding direction and slided to describe approximately loop shape around a pivot 20a of the arm rest 20. A guide rail 40 formed to come around to the lower side of the box body 10 from a position near the pivot 20a of the arm rest 20 is provided, and the opening/closing door 30 is slid along the guide rail 40.
