To manufacture a gear pump easily from least number of inexpensive part items by arranging first and second housing seals each composed of a ring-like gear seal and a cup-like housing seal, and arranging them spacedly from first and second shafts.
In order to arrange gears 46, 48 attached to shafts 50, 52 inside a center housing 16, seal sets are arranged on both sides of the gears 46, 48. A first seal set related to the upper gear 46 is composed of a ring-like gear seal 64 and a cup-like housing seal 66. The gear seal 64 is housed in a recession 68 formed on one side of the gear 46. The cup-like housing seal 66 is composed of a ring-like surface 66a, a center stepped portion 66b and a small diameter ring-like end 66c. The second seal set related to the lower gear 48 is similarly composed of a housing seal 88 and a ring-like gear seal 90. The seal sets are kept engaged with each other by springs.
