Title:
CONSTANT-VOLTAGE CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5731014
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the power consumption of a controlling transistor, by providing a self-holding type switching circuit between the base of the controlling transistor inserted in series into one line, and the other line. CONSTITUTION:When voltage of a point (b) of the output side of a rectifying circuit 2 rises along a half-wave rectifier waveform, a controlling transistor TR31 becomes conducting. Therefore, a capacitor 41 is charged, and voltage of a point C rises. When voltage of this point C exceeds threshold voltage of a constant-voltage diode 33, a current starts to flow to the gate of a thyristor through a resistance 342. When voltage of the point C further rises, the thyristor 341 is turned on, a current which has been flowing through a resistance 32 flows into the thyristor 341, the thyristor 341 self-holds the on state, and also the TR31 is cut off. This state is continued until an anode current of the thyristor 341 becomes below a holding current. Subsequently, while the TR31 is off, to a load circuit 42 is supplied electric power by charge stored in the capacitor 41.
