To provide a method for improving an image observation experience by tracking a place of an image viewed by an observer.SOLUTION: A system comprises: a screen of a display 14 which displays an image; an image capture device (sight line detection hardware device 16) which captures an image of a face of an observer 13 who views the image; and a computer 17. The computer decides a place of the image viewed by the observer according to the image of the face of the observer acquired by the image capture device, retrieves an image portion having clearness different from clearness of the portion of the image in the decided place, corrects the clearness by replacing the portion of the image in the place with the retrieved image portion, determines whether or not the observer still views the same place of the image according to a different image of the face of the observer acquired by the image capture device, and corrects the clearness again by replacing the portion of the image in the place with the retrieved image portion when determining that the observer no longer views the image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
