Abstract:
To shorten execution time of warm-up operation and, as a result, shorten charging time of a power storage device.SOLUTION: The construction machine includes an electric motor that drives a hydraulic pump, a power storage device that supplies electric power to the electric motor, a charger that charges the power storage device, and a control device that controls the charger. Based on at least a temperature of the power storage device, the control device determines whether to perform a warm-up operation in which charging and discharging of the power storage device are repeated. Then, the control device performs warm-up operation by changing the magnitude of a charging current and a discharging current during warm-up operation according to a relation between the temperature of the power storage device and a charging rate of the charger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
