PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the affection of the lead time of a refrigerant compressor on the construction period in the construction of the natural gas liquefaction plant.SOLUTION: A construction method of a natural gas liquefaction plant comprises the steps of: conveying a refrigerant compression module body 175 including an engine frame 120 on which a coolant compressor 150 for cooling natural gas can be installed to an installation range 85 of a plant site 70; installing the refrigerant compression module body 175 conveyed to the installation range 85 in the installation range 85; and installing the coolant compressor 150 on the installed refrigerant compression module body 175, in which at the coolant compressor installation step, the coolant compressor 150 is installed in an installation space 130 provided in advance on the engine frame 120.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4B
