To attain weight reduction by giving a forced displacement to a roof dome bottom surface before arranging a tension ring limiting the horizontal direction of the bottom surface, in constructing the roof dome of a curved shell form.
A plurality of vents 11 building up a roof shell 1 are arranged at proper positions, and the shell 1 is jacked up properly on the vents 11 to give the shell 1 a forced displacement. A forced deformation is applied by such a way of laying a cable 12 at a bottom surface of the shell 1 so that the bend moment generated by the self weight of the shell 1 can be cancelled. With the deformation shape maintained, after a tension ring 2 is layed and welded a winch 14 and a base 15 for lifting up the whole of roof dome on a building circumferential wall 13 are arranged, and after the whole block is lifted up thereby it is fixed onto the wall 13. Accordingly reduction of bend moment generating in the roof shell is attained.
