To construct a tower-like structure more easily while securing safety in a narrow land in a mountainous region, especially, nearby a mountaintop.
There is provided a construction method which permanently constructs a tower-like structure by vertically connecting a plurality of column units, and includes a connection process of successively connecting the column units on an existing column unit using a climbing device and a lifting machine. The column unit is a frame body which includes a plurality of column main materials and a connection member connecting the plurality of column main materials. The climbing device has an engagement part which constitutes a work stage and engages the column main materials, and can be lifted while guided by the column main materials. The connection process repeats a process of mounting the lifting machine on the climbing device and moving up the climbing device to the existing column unit, a process of suspending a new column unit by the lifting machine, and a process of connecting the suspended column unit and existing column unit.
