PURPOSE: To make works executable under vibration-free, noiseless circumstances by a method wherein an earth auger is equipped with roller type guide gibs and sand piles are constructed therewith with resistance given to the earth, and the auger is made to lift with inversely proportional force acting in reverse direction.

CONSTITUTION: Rollers 13 whose drums are indented in crescent shape at their middle parts are fitted into a channel frame-shaped guide 12, and an earth auger 3 is attached thereto with bolts 5. Then the earth auger 3 is operated in normal rotation with a screw 7 attached thereto, and excavation is made up to a specified depth. At the time of excavation, a winding wire 10 is lowered so that hoisting force will not act on the earth auger 3, keeping a wire 24 attached to an auger hanger slackened until completion of a sand pile. The auger 3 is then put in operation in reverse rotation with the screw 7 loaded with soil that is fed with a shovel, and the soil is conveyed therewith into the earth, letting the auger 3 lift with resistance by earth pressure acted thereon. In the case where the strength is required furthermore, springs 17 are attached to the right and the left of the auger 3, and the weight of the load is applied to the screw 7.
