Abstract:

To provide a technique for accurately and easily measuring the lifetime of a battery without being affected by the lowest operating voltage of electric equipment and the characteristic of a consumption current.

In this consumed battery capacity estimating method, the battery capacity of the battery before it is used in a prescribed electric equipment is obtained as the battery capacity before the use, while a residual battery capacity of the battery used for a prescribed use time by the electric equipment is obtained as the battery capacity after the use. A value obtained by subtracting the battery capacity after the use from that before the use is obtained as consumption power consumed by the electric equipment, and a value obtained by dividing the consumed power by the use time is obtained as a consumption battery capacity which is consumed per a unit time in the electric equipment.
