Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent wear and deterioration of a photoreceptor and contact electrostatic charging body by contact of both and to simultaneously prevent environmental resistance by providing this contact electrostatic charging body with a surface protective layer contg. a specific polycarbonate copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: This contact electrostatic charging body for electrophotographic photoreceptor has a surface protective layer formed out of a compsn. consisting of the polycarbonate copolymer having a repeating unit expressed by the formula and a conductivity material. In the formula, R1 to R6 respectively independently denote alkyl groups or fluoroalkyl groups, cycloalkyl groups or aryl groups; R7 and R8 respectively independently denote halogen atoms, alkyl groups, cycloalkyl groups or aryl groups; (a) and (b) respectively independently denote an integer from 0 to 4; X denotes an alkylene group; (n) denotes an integer from 1 to 6; (p) denotes a natural number; (q) denotes 0 or natural group; p+q is <200.
