Abstract:
To provide a contact material for a vacuum circuit breaker having an improved in interruption performance, to provide its production method and to provide a vacuum circuit breaker.
In this contact material for a vacuum circuit breaker containing a Cu phase as a highly electrically conductive component and a Cr phase as an arc resistant component, the temperature at which 50% of the total content of oxygen is dissociated is ≥1,500°C. Further, the total content of the oxide of at least one kind selected from Cr, Cu, Fe, Si and Al is preferably controlled to ≤1,000 ppm.
