Title:
CONTACT SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3386648
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure accurate detection even if an object is a poor conductor or an insulator with respect to a wire by disposing a circulating conductor spiral wire at the forward end of a probe conductor wire through an air gap.
SOLUTION: A spring conductor probe wire having flexible coiled end part penetrates, at the base side end part thereof, a forward end cap 12 and then it is connected with the negative-phase input terminal of an operational amplifier in an oscillation circuit housed in the body 11 of a contact sensor 10. On the other hand, the coiled part of wire 1 is press fitted in an insulating sleeve 13 which is then press fitted in a conductor spiral wire 2 connected with the body earth line of oscillation circuit. When the sensor 10 approaches an object to be searched, the wire 2 strikes the object at first to touch the wire 1 through resilient deformation thus connecting the wire 1 with the body earth (and interrupting the oscillation circuit). According to the arrangement, contact can be detected accurately even if the surface of object exhibits poor conductivity or dielectric properties.
