To stably provide the excellent welding quality by forming a straight wire guide passage to be communicated with a torch, a joint and a contact tip.
A first long joint 6 to be screwed to a contact tip 3 and a second short joint 7 to be screwed thereto are provided. A screw hole 9 is screwed into a threaded part 8, and a screw hole 9' is screwed into a threaded part 8'. Straight wire guide passages 10, 10', 10" communicated with a torch, joints 6, 7 and the contact tip 3 are formed so as to be applied to the welding of thick steel plates with narrow gap. The wire passage 10 in the joint 6 of a connection part of the torch to the joint 6 is expanded toward the torch. The welding can be performed according to the thickness of a base steel plate under the optimum condition by selecting the length and number of the joints.
