PURPOSE: To permit the application to the containers having a variety of dimensions by adjusting the interval between a bottom surface guide by shifting a chute and installing a shift regulating stopper and a cylinder which urges the chute to a bottom surface guide side, in the titled device for a bottle washing machine.

CONSTITUTION: The shift quantity of a piston rod 28 is adjusted by adjusting a stopper 30 according to the size of a bottle, and the interval between the upper edge 12b of a chute 12 and the terminal edge 10A of a bottom surface guide 10 is adjusted to the dimension of the bottle. Therefore, the container 6 having a variety of size can be transferred from the bottom surface guide 10 to the chute 12. If the container 6 is bitten at this time, the chute 12 pushed by the container 6 shifts against the urging force of an air cylinder 26, and a sensor 22 operates to stop the device. Then, the piston rod 28 is retreated, and the bitten bottle is removed by the shift of the chute 12. With such constitution, the use for the containers having different dimension is permitted.
