Abstract:
To provide a container which is reduced in weight and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: There is provided a container production method for producing a container 1 which has: a container body 10 comprising a body side peripheral wall 11 and a bottom wall 12; and a lid body 20 comprising a lid side peripheral wall 21 and a top wall 22, the container production method comprising: a slit formation step for forming a slit 70 on a thermally shrinkable film 61 in which a thermal shrinkage in a first direction is higher than that in a second direction; an insert molding step for, by insert molding in which the film 61 is an insert, molding the container body 10 into a structure comprising an annular frame body 60 and the film 61 fixed to the frame body 60; and a film heating step for, after the insert molding step, heating the film 61 and thermally shrinking the film for generating residual distortion on the film 61, and deforming the slit 70 into a circular or elliptical hole 62.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
