The containership has a plurality of cargo storing holds 5 from a stem 2 to a stern 3 of a hull 1, and navigates with cargo stored in the holds 5 and also cargo loaded on hatch covers 7 arranged on a deck 6 to cover openings of the holds. The stem 2 side of the hull 1 has a generator room 21 equipped with generators 22a to 22n, and accommodation rooms 28 including the wheelhouse 29 over the generator room 21. The stern 3 side of the hull 1 has a drive motor 25 for rotating a pusher propeller 27. The generators 22a to 22n on the stem 2 side and the drive motor 25 on the stern 3 side are electrically connected.
