Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container terminal and a control method of the same which reduce the movement of a yard crane as much as possible and enhance cargo handling efficiency.SOLUTION: When carrying a container K from the outside of a yard lane 20 to the inside of the yard lane 20, one yard crane 13 is stopped outside the end part of the yard lane 20 in a longitudinal direction, and the yard crane 13 receives the container K carried from the outside of the yard lane 20 and passes the container K to a reciprocating carriage 32 afterward. Then, the reciprocating carriage 32 which has received the container K conveys the container K toward the other yard crane 14 waiting at a predetermined position of the yard lane 20, and the other yard crane 14 receives the container K from the reciprocating carriage 32 and stores the container K at the yard lane 20 afterward.
