To provide a container for transportation, usage of which is simpler, and which is more watertight, light in weight, and heat resistant.

The container for transportation 1 comprises a bottom 2 and a lid 3, each having leg 4 on the periphery, and a cylindrical trunk 8 arranged between the bottom 2 and the lid 3. The container is assembled by fitting respective surfaces of legs 4 of the bottom 2 and the lid 3, which face the trunk, into the surfaces of both ends of the trunk 8, which face the legs, in a sliding manner to form an airtight space. The trunk 8 consists of plastic foaming boards and/or plastic corrugated boards. Each bottom 2 and lid 3 has engaging projections or recesses 5 formed in prescribed positions on the outer face of the leg 4, while the trunk 8 has engaging projections or recesses 7 on its both ends in the positions corresponding to the engaging projections or recesses 5, where respective projections and recesses are engaged with each other. The assembling or disassembling of the container can be carried out by making or releasing the engagement between each projection or recess 5 of the bottom 2 and the lid 3 and each projection or recesses 7 of the trunk 8.
