To provide a container with heating function which can easily heat a matter to be heated under a preferable heating condition in a short time without erroneously generating an exothermic chemical reaction.

This container 1 with a heater comprises a container body 4 which is equipped with a pressing part 14 with first and second opening parts in the upper and lower parts and at least one through hole 15 at the bottom part and houses a vessel 11 housing a matter 12 to be heated in a condition allowing the vessel 11 to be laid on the pressing part 14, holding parts 2 which can fix the vessel 11 onto the holding parts 2, and a reaction vessel 9 which closes the second opening part. At least one external communication hole 5 is provided on the upper part of the container body 4. A reaction inducing substance 20 and an exothermic substance 17 are housed in the reaction vessel 9. Heating steam is generated by downward moving the pressing part 14 to mix the reaction inducing substance 20 and the exothermic substance 17 and guided to the communicating hole 15 and the external communication hole 5.
