PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a content to be acquired by a relay point installation device without concentrating loads at a specific server in a content distribution system and method.SOLUTION: Content advance acquisition request generation means 155 is configured to generate a first content acquisition request including a prescribed control identifier, and content acquisition request transfer means 157 is configured to refer to a transfer information base 158 to transfer the first content acquisition request to a relay point installation device 16, and the relay point installation device 16 is configured to acquire content data corresponding to the first content acquisition request. A user terminal device 14 is configured to transmit a second content acquisition request not including the prescribed control identifier. The content acquisition request transfer means 157 is configured to refer to the transfer information base 158 to transfer the second content acquisition request to the relay point installation device 16, and the relay point installation device 16 is configured to transfer the content data to a moving body loading device 15.
