To provide an information processor which can easily apply unique additional information as copyright information to contents for identifying contents to which the unique identification information is applied.
This contents identification system is provided with a recording device 102 having an encoder 113 which adds additional information based on a device unique device UID and a disk unique medium UID to contents as copyright information and a recording part 114 which records it, a watermark decoder 131 which extracts the disk UID and the device UID from contents to be identified and a copyright decision device 103 having a decision part 132 which decides whether or not the medium UID and the device UID of the medium and device brought in by a user are matched with the UID extracted by the decoder 131, and outputs the result. Then, the disk UID and device UID inputted to the deciding part 132 are used as copyright information so that the copyright owner of the contents to be identified can be decided.
