Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the security in the protection of copyright by using the method called an electronic watermark embedding method that embeds copyright protection information to contents. SOLUTION: In this contents protection system, a random number generator in a decoding LSI generates a random number R1 in a step 201, a code A that is the random number R1 is set to a CPU and a start code B is set to an electronic watermark detection LSI in a step 202. After reproduction is started, the CPU reads the start code B set to the electronic watermark detection LSI in a step 204, the code A is compared with the start code B in a step 205, when they are coincident (Yes in the step 205), the reproduction is continued in a step 206, and when they are dissident, the reproduction is stopped in a step 208.
