Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent nozzle clogging by continuously casting a molten steel which is subjected to Al deoxidation to a specific ratio of sol. Al prior to continuous casting.
CONSTITUTION: The nozzle clogging is prevented by continuously casting the molten steel which is subjected to the Al deoxidation down to 0.040W0.5wt% sol. Al, more preferably 0.060W0.5wt% prior to continuous casting in continuous casing of a Ti-contg. steel kind. The steel may contain 0.040W0.5wt%, more preferably 0.060W0.5wt% Al and may be adjusted to ≥0.1 Al%/Ti% in the above-mentioned manner.
