PURPOSE: To enable a work to be worked under the frozen condition to improve the working condition and quality of the work by sending the work impregnated with water to a freezing section through a moving medium to freeze instantaneously the work.

CONSTITUTION: A refrigerating evaporator 3 is disposed in a groove 2 provided on the outer peripheral side of a rotor 1. A thawing warm air device 4 is provided, and a spindle 5 rotates a diamond bit. The spindle 5 is coupled with a motor and a mounting wheel 6 is provided with two diamond bits. A chain 8 is fitted in the groove 2 to move on the circumference thereof as the rotor 1 rotates. As the rotor 1 rotates, and portions of the chain 8 immersed in a container 7 and impregnated with water contact the refrigerated rotor 1 and are instantaneously frozen to be fixed in the groove 2. Thus, a workpiece is cut by the diamond bit without any fine movement to improve extremely the cutting requirement.
