Title:
CONTINUOUS MOLDING APPARATUS FOR TUBULAR MEMBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3163852
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To continuously mold a tubular member having an arbitrary cross-sectional shape by heating the braids formed around a mandrel to melt the matrix resin constituting the braids and molding the heated braids into a predetermined cross-sectional shape before curing the same.
CONSTITUTION: When the braids (b) formed on the hollow mandrel m1 are moved to the leading end part of the mandrel m1, the braids (b) are heated by the heating element built in the hollow mandrel m1 and the die heating element h1' of the die member h1 of a heating and molding device H. Therefore, the matrix resin such as a thermoplastic resin applied to or infiltrated into the yarns Y or hollow yarns (y) constituting the braids is melted and, at the same time, the braids (b) are deformed corresponding to the shape of the leading end part of the hollow mandrel m1 and the cross-sectional shape of the die member to be formed into a predetermined cross-sectional shape. Thereafter, the molded braids are cooled and cured by a cooling device P to form a tubular member b'. This tubular member is cut into a predetermined length by a cutter.
