Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the labor sanitation in producing and shipping granular iodine by automating the packaging work of granular iodine which is corrosive, sublimational and poisonous, and has often been manually handled before.
SOLUTION: Granular iodine is packaged by a process in which a cylindrical can body 1 to fill granular iodine 6 is moved and installed at the filling work position immediately below a discharge port 3 of a hopper 2 having an automatic measuring machine, a process in which an inner bag 7 excellent in airtightness and whose bottom part is of circularly bulged shape is positioned immediately below the discharge port 3 of the hopper 2 having the automatic measuring machine, and its upper edge opening part 8 is opened and suspended, a process in which granular iodine 6 of small amount is fed in the inner bag 7 from the hopper 2 having the automatic measuring machine, and a lower part of the inner bag 7 is positioned in an internal space of the cylindrical can body 1, a process in which the remaining quantity of the specified filling quantity of granular iodine 6 is filled in the inner bag 7 from the discharge port 3 of the hopper 2 having the automatic measuring machine, and a process in which excessive air is sucked and discharged out of the inner bag 3 filled with granular iodine 6, its upper edge opening part 8 is sealed, and a top plate 12 is covered on the cylindrical can body 1 with the inner bag 7 stored therein.
