To make image forming operation perform recording operation by restoring a conveyance condition of a continuous paper into a normal condition automatically without taking procedures required in the jammed state if the conveyance condition of the continuous paper can be automatically restored when detecting abnormality of the conveyance condition of the continuous paper and stopping the image forming operation.

This continuous paper conveyance controller is provided with paper conveyance members K1, K2, Rb, a plurality of paper conveyance sensors SN1 to SN4 for detecting whether the continuous paper P with feeding hole is in the conveyance condition or in a non-conveyance condition, conveyance condition abnormality sensors SNa, SNb for detecting abnormality of the conveyance condition of the continuous paper P with feeding hole, means C9, C9' for conveying paper during fixed time when detecting abnormality, and abnormal conveyance condition automatic restoring means C10, C10' having continuous paper stopping means C10b, C10b' when eliminating abnormality for stopping the continuous paper P with feeding hole and recording operation possible condition notifying means C10c, C10c' for notifying a condition in which resumption of image recording operation is possible.
