PURPOSE: To provide the continuous pickling and rinsing method and device for a hot rolled steel sheet which improve smut removing efficiency after pick ling of the steel sheet.
CONSTITUTION: This device is constituted by having a pickling tank 12 which removes the oxide scale sticking to the hot rolled steel sheet 13 under transportation, a rough rinsing tank 15 which is juxtaposed with this pickling tank 12 and flushes away a pickling liquid 11 and an ultrasonic rinsing tank 20 which is juxtaposed with this rough rinsing tank 15 and imparts ultrasonic vibration energy as finish cleaning. The steel plate is subjected to the rough rinsing treatment and to the ultrasonic rinsing treatment by the application of the ultrasonic energy after the rough rinsing treatment, by which the smut sticking to the steel sheet is nearly completely removed and the generation of non-plated parts is obviated even if the steel sheet is subjected to galvanizing as a post stage.
