Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the subject polycondensation apparatus capable of polymerizing to a high-viscosity state and producing a high-molecular weight polymer having narrow molecular weight distribution by placing a plurality of parallel rotary shafts in a horizontal vessel and radially fixing a plurality of stirring blades on each rotary shaft at specific phase angle and prescribed intervals. CONSTITUTION:The objective continuous polycondensation apparatus has a pair of parallel rotary shafts 2 placed in a horizontal vessel main body 1 and a plurality of stirring blades 4 radially fixed to each rotary shaft 2. A reaction liquid introducing plate 6 having the shape of the main body 1 is attached to the reaction liquid inlet nozzle part 3 placed at the bottom of the main body 1 to allow the reaction liquid to flow from an end of the vessel 1. Each rotary shaft 2 is provided with two stirring blades 4 at a phase angle of 180 deg. and plural blades are successively attached to the shaft in axial direction at prescribed intervals while keeping the phase angle of 90 deg. between the adjacent blade and the phase angle of the blade to each rotary shaft 2 is maintained to 90 deg.. A high-molecular weight polymer having high viscosity can be produced in high efficiency by the use of the apparatus.
