Title:
CONTINUOUS POLYMERIZATION OF PROPYLENE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3553745
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous polymerization method of propylene, capable of improving product quality by improvement of catalytic activity and stereoregularity and carrying out reduction of fine powder in polymerization powder and improvement of morphology and improving operation stability in a continuous polymerization method of propylene using a continuous preliminary polymerization.
SOLUTION: In continuously polymerizing propylene in the presence of a catalyst composed of (A) a solid catalyst component consisting essentially of magnesium, titanium and a halogen, (B) an organoaluminum compound and (C) an electron-donating compound, the component A is brought into contact with the component B in the presence of propylene dissolved in a solvent and preliminary polymerization is carried out at ≤60°C for 1-90min average retention time to form a propylene preliminary catalyst in an amount of 0.3-8 gram based on 1 gram of a solid catalyst component fed and the formed catalyst is continuously fed to a main polymerizer at ≥0.1m/sec average flow rate together with unreacted liquid propylene.
