To establish a motion of a wire guide in a proper timing and prevent a wire from entanglement resulting from its movement.

The trailing and end of the former wire wound body 21 is connected to the leading end of the latter wire wound body 22, and upon supplying wire 1 of the former wire wound body via a wire guide 6, the wire guide 1 is moved to over the latter wire wound body, and then the wire of the latter wound body is supplied continuously, wherein the wire guide is furnished with a first sensing means 41 to sense the end of wire supply due to the former wire wound body and emit a signal to start the movement of the wire guide, a braking means to prohibit movement of the wire guide when the wire is supplied from the former wire wound body and disengage the prohibition of movement in conformity to a movement start signal given by the first sensing means to allow the movement of the wire guide to start, and a second sensing means to sense completion of the movement of the wire guide to over the latter wire wound body and emit a movement stop signal for stopping the movement of the wire guide thorough the braking means.
