To provide a continuously variable transmission system for vehicle which can construct in a small size and a low cost by a reduction of the number of parts and keep a gear ratio to its widest range.
This system is equipped with an input material 52 connected to an output shaft 12 of an internal combustion engine E, a troidal type continuously variable transmission T with an output material 53 which shifts the rotation of an input material 53 to generate power, a first element 22 connected to an output material 53 of the continuously variable transmission T, a driving wheel W, the second element 23 connected to W, a planetary gear system P having the third element 26, a third clutch C1 to connect and release the first element 22 and the second element 23 of the planetary gear system P, a first gear line G1 equipped in parallel each other between the output shaft 12 of the internal combustion engine E and the third element 26 of the planetary gear system P, the second gear line G2 having a larger gear ratio than that of the first gear line G1, and the second and the third clutches C2, C3 which connect and release the first and the second gear lines G1 and G2, respectively.
