Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the divergence of a skew angle.SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission comprises: first to third power transmission members 10, 20, and 30; a plurality of planetary balls 40; a non-rotatable first guide member 50A including a first guide portion 51 guiding a first protrusion portion 41a of a support shaft 41 of each planetary ball 40 in a radial direction; a rotatable second guide member 50B including a second guide portion 52 guiding a second protrusion portion 41b of the support shaft 41 in the radial direction; a gear change member 50C rotatable in a circumferential direction and including a gear change portion 53 whose longitudinal direction is inclined with respect to the radial direction so as to keep balance between a force acting on the second protrusion portion 41b and a force acting on a sidewall of the gear change portion 53; and an actuator 81 rotating the gear change member 50C, the gear change portion 53 including a first region whose longitudinal direction is inclined with respect to the radial direction so as to keep balance between the force acting on the second protrusion portion 41b and the force acting on the sidewall during normal rotation, and a second region whose longitudinal direction is inclined with respect to the radial direction so as to keep balance between the forces during reverse rotation.
