Title:
CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3715055
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compactify a continuously variable transmission by rationally arranging a main transmission and an auxiliary transmission in the continuously variable transmission.
SOLUTION: A continuously variable transmission is provided with a cone type main transmission T1 and an auxiliary transmission T2 constructed of a gear train. A speed reduction gear 71 serving as a final output member of the auxiliary transmission T2 is supported in a casing 3 by means of a ball bearing 70, while the end part of an output shaft 22 of the main transmission T1 is supported coaxially in a supporting hole 711 bored along the axial line L of the speed reduction gear 71 via a needle bearing 72 and a ball bearing 73, so that radius directional dimension of the continuously variable transmission can be compactified. The ball bearing 70 and the needle bearing 72 are overlapped each other in the axial line L direction, and as a result, an axial line L directional dimension of the continuously variable transmission can be compactified.
