Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a new contraception technique free from adverse effect or a diagnosing method for measuring conception ability and imbedding ability, capable of controlling imbedding of embryo including human embryo to uterus by administering a hydrocarbon pharmaceutical preparation containing a specific structural element as an active ingredient into a mammal. CONSTITUTION: An active amount of hydrocarbon pharmaceutical preparation containing a structural element of formula I [X is O, S or NR (R is H or a permissible organic residue); R1 and R2 are each H, OH, NH2 , NHAc or permissible organic residue; R3 is H, an organic residue or a carrier], preferably formula II, further preferably formula II in which XR3 has β-steric configuration as an active ingredient is administered to mammal so that the above structural element exists in the circumference of uterus bore. Thereby, new contraception technique not accompanying adverse effect of thrombosis etc., or a diagnosis method capable of measuring conception ability of mammal and in vivo or in vitro imbedding ability of mammal embryo by controlling imbedding of mammal embryo including human embryo to uterus is provided.
