The control device for a11 day operating apparatus is equipped with a motor 5 for air cleaning which cleans air for twenty four hours, an optical sensor 11 detecting illuminating light or sunlight in the vicinity of the place where the motor 5 is instaled and a control unit 12 which operate and controls the motor 5 on the basis of a light-detecting signal S1 by the optical sensor 11. When illminating light or sunlight exists in the vicinity of the place where the device is instaled, the motor 5 is continuously operated. When illuminating light or sunlight does not exist in the vicinity of the place where the device is installed, the motor is controlled so as to be intermittently operated.
