Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform sitting control of an electromagnetic drive valve by estimating the fluctuation of the neutral position of a valve during an engine operation.
SOLUTION: A neutral position (a neutral valve lift amount with which the spring force in a valve opening direction by an open side spring 43 is balanced with the spring force in a valve closing direction by a close side spring 29) of a valve 24 is estimated by using an equation of motion analyzing the moving states of movable parts of the valve 24 or the like during engine operation. Since data of the valve lift amount, velocity and acceleration are needed for the equation of motion, the valve lift amount is detected by a lift sensor 47, time differentiation of this valve lift amount is carried out to obtain the velocity, and time differentiation of the velocity is carried out to obtain the acceleration. In this case, since effects of noise or a quantization problem are eliminated if the acceleration is obtained by filtering the value of the differentiation of the velocity, variation characteristics of acceleration become a smooth curve and the estimation accuracy of the neutral position is improved.
