PURPOSE: To improve operation efficiency of an elevator by outputting a signal measured the unnecessary or little necessary time band of previously set operation of an elongating means, and letting the elongating means ineffective based on the signal.

CONSTITUTION: An elongation command timer 30 is set to output a signal, for example, at measuring a time interval of 180 seconds. A clock device 12 outputs a first signal, when it detects the unnecessary or little necessary time band of previously set operation of the elongation command timer 30. When the clock device 12 outputs the first signal, a contact 12a of off by the first signal from the clock device 12. Consequently, even though an elongation button 5 is pushed by a user, a door opening time of 180 seconds due to the elongation command timer 30 is not elongated. Hereby, in the unnecessary or little necessary timer band of operation of the elongation command timer 30, the condition in which a cage is uselessly stopped at a stage floor in the door opening condition is prevented, and operation efficiency of an elevator is improved.
