Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen the service life, without reducing an energy utilization factor, in a control device of an elevator of adopting an electric double layer capacitor in which the energy utilization factor and the service life are put in the trade-off relationship to voltage.SOLUTION: This control device includes a converter 5 for converting AC voltage into DC voltage, a smoothing capacitor 6 for smoothing output voltage of the converter, an inverter 7 for driving a motor 9 by converting the voltage of the smoothing capacitor into AC voltage and imparting regenerative electric power generated by the motor 9 to the smoothing capacitor 6, an electric double layer capacitor 18 connected to the smoothing capacitor 6 via a charge-discharge circuit 14 and giving-receiving electric power between the smoothing capacitor 6 and itself, and a discharge circuit 22 for discharging the electric power stored in the electric double layer capacitor 18. The electric double layer capacitor 18 is discharged in inactive operation of the elevator 3, and the voltage of the electric double layer capacitor 18 is reduced.
