Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the same comfortableness to ride in even at a cold district as that at a normal temperature by constituting a device so as to variably controlling a damping force in two or more steps in response to the oil temperature in a damper or the outside air temperature. CONSTITUTION:The oil temperature or the outside air temperature is detected by a temperature sensor 1, its level signal H or L is fed to an actuator drive circuit 2, an actuator 3 is operated, a selector valve in a hydraulic damper 4 is driven to select a large orifice or a small orifice, thus the damping force of a damper 4 is automatically controlled. Accordingly, when the viscosity of the oil in the damper is high as the outside air temperature is decreased, the large orifice is automatically selected, thereby the damping force is prevented from increasing and can be made nearly the same as that at the normal temperature.
