Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a difference between a target air-fuel ratio and an actual air-fuel ratio while increasing the purge amount of fuel vapor during switching from stoichiometric combustion to lean combustion.SOLUTION: A control device for an internal combustion engine includes a purge passage connecting an intake passage and a fuel tank 26, a purge control valve 28 arranged in the purge passage, a fuel injection valve 6, a throttle valve 17, a purge flow constant control part 40b for controlling the opening of the purge control valve 28 so that a purge flow amount as the flow amount of purge gas to be purged via the purge control valve 28 into the intake passage is kept constant, and a fuel injection control part 40c for controlling the amount of fuel to be injected from the fuel injection valve 6. During a period from a first time point when starting throttle opening control to switch from an air amount required for stoichiometric combustion to an air amount required for lean combustion to a second time point when the target air-fuel ratio changes from stoichiometric one to lean one, fuel injection control is performed in the state that the purge flow amount at the first time point is maintained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
