Abstract:
To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine which can reduce a calculation load imposed to the changeover of a determination value while accurately detecting a missing tooth part.SOLUTION: A control device 50 of an internal combustion engine is employed to the internal combustion engine having a crank rotor having a gear part and a missing tooth part, and a crank angle sensor for outputting a pulse signal everytime gear teeth of the crank rotor pass. The control device 50 of the internal combustion engine has: a pulse interval calculation part 53; a determination value calculation part 54 for calculating a determination value α for detecting the missing tooth part; and a missing tooth detection part 55 for detecting the missing tooth part on the basis of the fact that a pulse interval T1, a pulse interval T0 which is calculated immediately before the former pulse interval, and the determination value α satisfy a relationship indicated by T1>α×T0. When the internal combustion engine is in a start, and the ignition timing of the internal combustion engine is in retardation which is retarded more than reference ignition timing, the determination value calculation part 54 decreases the determination value α compared with the case that the internal combustion engine is not in the start, and the ignition timing of the internal combustion engine is not in the retardation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
